The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it's alarmed regarding the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day. The assistance stage made for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to help the servicing of all clients and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
